Jonah Tali Lomu (12 May 1975 – 18 November 2015) was a legendary New Zealand rugby union player widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential players in the history of the sport. Playing as a powerful winger for the All Blacks, he became an international superstar during the 1995 Rugby World Cup, where his incredible speed, strength, and try-scoring ability revolutionised the game. Although a serious kidney illness shortened his career, Lomu's impact on rugby remains unmatched. He played 63 Tests for New Zealand, scored 37 international tries, and inspired generations of players and fans around the world. His legacy continues through his contribution to the global growth and popularity of rugby.
